2023: Al-Mustapha, Sowore, Clinch Presidential Tickets

Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late Military Dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for the 2023 general election.

Al-Mustapha polled 506 votes to defeat his main challenger, Samson Odupitan who got 215 votes.

According to the party’s National Chairman, Kenneth Udeza, 842 delegates were accredited for the exercise.

In a related development, Omoyele Sowore, human rights activist and publisher, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC).

Sowore was declared the winner of the presidential primary held in Abuja on Thursday through a voice vote by delegates.
