Over 50 dead bodies have been claimed to have been discovered in Plateau State villages following the incident.

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, the bandits raided the villages of Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur, and Keram, killing a large number of people.

The gunman also touched numerous residences in the villages, according to the Daily Trust.

In response to the attack, “The Command is aware of the attack; policemen have been drafted to the area,” ASP Ubah Gabriel, spokesperson for the State Police Command, stated.

“I am yet to get detailed information about the number of those killed and houses burnt. I will update the press as soon as I get it. ” He added

However, Adamu Musa, a resident of one of the afflicted villages, told the Daily Trust that 24 bodies were found in Kukawa, 15 in Gyanbahu, 8 in Dungur, and four in Keram villages.

People who were hurt in the attack have been taken to different hospitals, he said, and the bodies will be buried together as soon as they can be found.

He added that security personnel had also been dispatched to the affected locations.
