Atiku Abubakar has emerged as presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 presidential election.
The former Vice President was declared winner of the keenly contested primary election held at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday.
He polled 371 votes to defeat his main challenger and current governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike who got 237 votes.
A former Senate President, Bukola Saraki got 70 votes while Akwa Ibom state governor, Udom Emmanuel got 38 votes.
768 delegates voted while 12 votes were voided.
