BREAKING: Dortmund Sack Head Coach, Marco Rose

Borussia Dortmund have announced that they have parted company with head coach Marco Rose.

Rose took over at BVB at the start of the 2021/22 season after two years in charge at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The 45-year-old oversaw 46 games at the helm for Dortmund, winning 27, drawing four and losing 15.

He guided them to a runners-up finish in the Bundesliga behind champions Bayern Munich, but their DFB Cup defence was ended in the round of 16 by St. Pauli and Die Schwarzgelben failed to get out of their UEFA Champions League group. They would bow out of Europe against Rangers in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.

Dortmund will now seek their seventh head coach since Jürgen Klopp left the club in 2015. The new boss will have a number of new players awaiting him, after the signings of Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck and Karim Adeyemi were confirmed.
