EPL: Spurs Suffer Huge Blow In Race For Top Four After Defeat To Brighton

Tottenham did not have a shot on target against Brighton who produced another superb win in north London to win 1-0.

Antonio Conte’s side never got going and were poor throughout, and have now given fierce rivals Arsenal the chance to close the gap in the race for Champions League football.

Having scored 12 goals in their last three games, winning every one, the hosts were going into this game in hot form.

But they were slow and lethargic throughout and could have no complaints about the result.

Brighton, meanwhile, were superb and have enjoyed another successful trip in north London having beaten Arsenal last time out.

Leandro Trossard, as he did at the Emirates, found the net again.

Receiving the ball on the left channel, he beat Eric Dier with some excellent footwork before showing excellent composure to slot the ball into the bottom right with the outside of his foot, past Hugo Lloris.
