FLASH: Abdullahi Adamu Resigns From Senate

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu has resigned his membership in the Senate.

In a letter to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday, Adamu who represented Nasarawa West said his decision to resign is consequent upon his election as the chairman of the APC.

“I am, with utmost respect and appreciation, informing you that consequent to my victory as National Chairman in the just concluded APC convention, I hereby formally resign as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Nasarawa West senatorial district with effect from April 1, 2022,” part of the letter read.

According to the letter, Adamu’s resignation takes effect from April 1.
