Nigerian law condemns sleeping with animal, attract 14 years imprisonment – FPRO

Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, says our law, tradition and all practicable religions condemns the dirty act of sleeping with animals.

The FOrce PRO, made this announcement via his Twitter account on Saturday.

Adejobi’s tweet, came amid concerns over a trending video of a dog having an affair with a lady.

 

Adejobi in his tweet, wrote:

“Can you see this? Read it, so that we tell them oo, bc they all accept the dirty business.The law condemns it, our tradition condemns it, all the practicable religions condem it so what are we daying. My take. He tweeted.

The Police PRO also went further to share section 214 of the Criminal Code Act 1990 as amended.

Section 214 of the Criminal Code Act shared by Adejobi, stated that sleeping with an animal is a criminal offence which attract 14 years imprisonment in Nigeria.

Section 214 of Criminal Code Act states that;

“Any person who- (1) has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature; or (2) has carnal knowledge of an animal; or (3) permits a male person to have carnal knowledge of him or her against the order of nature; is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for fourteen years.”

 

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, replaced Frank Mba as the Police PRO and was confirmed as the 25th indigenous Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
