Felix Aluko, a resident pastor in Abuja has called on former President Goodluck Jonathan to dump the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) for him to become Nigeria’s president for the second time.
In a reports by Daily Trust, Aluko, the senior pastor of the Resurrected Assembly (GROM), made the prophetic declaration on Tuesday in Abuja.
He stated that the former president have every chances of returning back to Aso Rock as president through God’s divine mandate if he decides to join the 2023 presidential race under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressive Congress.
Aluko who in his words said:
“For this to happen, the ex-president must defect from his present political platform, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and contest the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
The senior pastor however warned that, though the prophecy is a divine calling, Jonathan will never become president again if fails to follow instructions.
He said, “The Lord has said that his (Jonathan’s) chapter in the PDP has been closed and a new chapter of his political journey has been opened, not in the PDP, but in APC. That he has to align himself with the purpose and will of God for his life to be able to fulfil his presidential mandate.
According to him Jonathan’s defeat in 2015 presidential election was a deliberate plan by God to enable him go through some training in the aspect of things he wanted him to do.
“God allowed him to move out of the presidential seat for a purpose to be able to train him on the aspect of the things He wanted him to do. Now that God is bringing him back, he will be able to fulfil that purpose.
“God said that Jonathan should not listen to detractors but should move out from their crowd and follow His counsel. That the finger of God is pointing at him to become the Nigerian president come 2023. And that can only be fulfilled if he decides to follow the will of God and leave the political party where he is now, and move to the APC.
He added that, “He should not be scared away from his divine mandate by public opinion. God said to me that this is the set time for his return to Aso Rock and he should not let the opportunity slip away from his own hands.”
Meanwhile, supporters had stormed Jonathan’s office in Abuja on Friday, with a strong demand that the he should declare his interest for the 2023 presidential race. But the former president left them in suspense of what his next political moves will be.
