Salah pens new deal with Liverpool, becomes Premier League’s highest-paid player


Egypt international, Mohamed Salah has extended his contract with English Premier League side, Liverpool to 2025.

The new is with a salary of £400,000-per-week, according to Daily Mail.

Salah has now overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) and Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), as Premier League’s highest-paid player.

Ronaldo and De Bruyne are on reported salaries of £385,000-per-week.

The Egyptian is currently the highest-paid African footballer, and fourth highest in the world behind PSG’s trio; Neymar Jnr (£606,000-per-week), Lionel Messi (£960,000-per-week) and Kylian Mbappe (£1million-per-week).

Salah has scored 120 goals in 193 appearances for the Reds since joining the club from Roma in 2017.
